Albuquerque, NM – June 21, 2022 – FutureLearn, a global education platform that delivers learning through online courses, has selected Data Harmony Hub for their semantic metadata enrichment program.  The metadata program is aimed to increase discoverability and findability of their thousands of online education courses.

Data Harmony Hub is a managed service that can be easily integrated into content development and publishing workflows and provides for the automation and application of semantic metadata.  By leveraging Access Innovations’ library of prebuilt knowledge domains that represent over 60 subject areas and a half-million terms, organizations such as FutureLearn can significantly improve their search by making their content more discoverable through semantic metadata.

“Making our educational courses easier to find improves our customer experience,” says Astrid deRidder, Vice President of Content and Learning at FutureLearn. “The Data Harmony Hub will allow us to focus on course quality, and save valuable resources by streamlining how we make our courses more accessible.”

“Publishers and content providers of all sizes are able to take advantage of our pre-built knowledge domains to make their content more discoverable,” comments Marjorie M.K. Hlava, President and Chief Scientist at Access Innovations. “FutureLearn will significantly benefit from the automated application of semantic metadata which will improve the findability and discoverability of the online courses.”
