Reiss did not receive credit in the program or in the company paybook as a Lover in Il Tabarro though Seltsam's Annals allotted him this role. The editors question the information available concerning Dolcina and the Abbess in Suor Angelica. The company program states that in this performance Mellish, a high soprano, sang the Abbess, a role usually performed by a mezzo-soprano, and that B?rat sang Dolcina, a role usually assigned to a soprano. Further, in some later performances, these artists exchanged roles.
