Review 1:
Review of the concert:
"Positively no encores" was the announcement on the programme for the concert in the Metropolitan Opera House last night, but in spite of it Mme. Alma Gluck was forced to repeat a dainty Scotch ballad by Thayer called "My Laddie." She sang it so charmingly that the great audience simply refused to be quiet until she repeated it."]
